Spotlighted this Autumn:LGBT History!
Not that summer is definitely waning, it is time to look towards books with some substance. As October is LGBT History Month, we're exploring our past with a host of terrific books.
Two books highlight out selection: "Gay Bar" by Will Fellows plus Justin Spring's "Secret Historian" which is also the book selected by the Outwords Book Club for October.
Other terrific titles include such classics as Lillian Faderman's "Odd Girls & Twilight Lovers," "Stonewall" by Martin Duberman and Neil Miller's "Out of the Past."
Back in 2008, Outwords Books created a very special display featuring a selection of the Notable LGBT writers since the beginning of the 20th Century. Having proved to be very popular, we've continued to keep the spotlight on such essential novelists as Oscar Wilde, Christopher Isherwood, Virginia Woolf, Sarah Waters and, of course, Marcel Proust.
