Portal Industries was established in 1965 as a 501(c)(3) not–for–profit organization with a mission to serve adult citizens with disabilities. Our central purpose is to provide these citizens with opportunities to lead more fulfilling lives. This is accomplished through services that enhance employability, improve quality of life, and facilitate inclusion within the Ozaukee County community.
We are proud of our 40+ years of dedicated service providing work and employment opportunities as well as community life experiences. Today, Portal serves more than 230 individuals and their families who reside throughout Ozaukee County. We remain committed to providing meaningful services that meet individual needs and promote self–determination.
Independence and interdependence are both essential to quality living. We all tend to be more successful when surrounded by family, friends, neighbors, co–workers and other community members who are there to provide assistance and support and help create a sense of belonging. Each of us benefits from positive relationships we have with others in the community. Portal's dedicated staff is committed to helping those we serve develop such relationships and encourage positive community involvement and responsibilities.
