Chancel Choir & Chamber Orchestra
Gloria by Mark Hayes
Hayes sets to music the thrilling message declared by angels in Heaven to
shepherds on Earth, Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace. Jesus Christ is born.
Can we celebrate a Christmas Unplugged and still have our lights our traditions and sing a few carols along the way?
In our worship and other activities, we will emphasize the spirit and life of Christmas that transcends the gift-buying
and commercialization of this holiday. Are there values and understandings that are being lost in the tinsel-laden, neon
reflections of the holiday season? Is there a deeper and more lasting word that can be offered in this season other than
"buy and spend?" Is there a gift that can be unwrapped that will have a more lasting impact on our lives and the world
other than the latest electronic game?
We will focus on these questions and others as we celebrate in this season of Advent with a "Christmas Unplugged."
Plan to be part of our worship experiences and other opportunities as outlined in our Advent/Christmas Brochure.
Pastor Keith Schroerlucke
We seek to embody grace and hospitality in the manner of Jesus, nurturing our diverse spiritual journeys and
joining together as a servant community to help realize a more loving and just world.
In grateful response to the expansive love of God, we offer ourselves and our community of faith in answer to the call to walk humbly
with our God. (Micah 6:8)Connecting to and experiencing God will be central to all we do.
