Welcome to the web site of Photos By Louis and Natalie.com, presenting the stock editorial photography of Louis and Natalie Horch. Our main focus is stock-editorial photography, but we also specialize in childrens and teen portraiture.
Louis has always been interested in photography, especially portrait and scenic photography. He has a very large family and usually is the photographer for his family, especially when a portrait is needed. His interest has spanned for over forty five years.
In early 2007 he began his own business as a freelance photographer. He is focusing on stock-editorial photography while continuing his interest in portraiture. Louis and his wife are available for freelance assignments and projects.
Recently he completed a project for the Waukesha, Wisconsin grade school children from 5th thru 8th grade. He photographed fourteen youth football teams, capturing action and individual photos of most players on each team, which were used in a display for the organization(WYF) at a silent auction held at the Waukesha Exposition Center in Waukesha, Wisconsin on November 2, 2007. The auctioneer at this fund raising event was Jonathan Green, a WTMJ Milwaukee, Wisconsin top notch radio personality and very experienced auctioneer.
Photographs of the event and Jonathan Green were submitted to the committee for the WYF for publication in The Waukesha Freeman, a local paper published in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Late in 2007 Louis and Natalie began photographing the Waukesha Junior Varsity and Varsity High School Girls Basketball teams from Waukesha West HS in Waukesha, Wisconsin for several of the girls parents in the area. Being interested in free lance, particularly in sports, he enjoys working with the young players on both of the teams.
We captured several good action shots photographing the Waukesha Blazer and Firebird baseball teams, two competing teams, 6th grades, as well as the Waukesha Blazer Rookie league, made up of 2nd and 3rd graders. This hard ball, baseball is part of the Little League Baseball in WI.
Parents also approached us to photograph Waukesha West HS Varsity Volleyball. The team made it to the WIAA playoffs, but were defeated in the second round. Several parents approached us to capture the actions of their sons.
We participated in a volunteer benefit for St. James Catholic Church for a silent auction with Jonathan Green as the auctioneer. We did the photography in order that an IT person on the church council could put together a DVD for the event. Yes the church did make money that went for the operation and expenses that the church has each year. St. James does not have a fair each year as others do, so they depend on this auction to raise money. The event was called "The Enchanted Evening in Paradise". The church sold tickets for this benefit which also included a dinner that was catered. During the benefit we were able to do some portraiture photography for those that were interested.
We finally had a chance to do a little bit of Senior portraiture, finding a beautiful outside location in Nashotah, WI for a Germantown HS junior.
We arranged a family portrait, made up of an extended family of children and their own families. The weather was terrific, and the fall colors were outstanding, and of course, the portraits were priceless. The families enjoyed what we came up with.
My wife and I were referred to a young family for some portraiture and also photography that could be used in Paul Farrow's candidacy for the 98th Assembly seat in Wisconsin. The candidate had a fund raising luncheon, held at Ruekert & Mielke, Inc, in Waukesha, WI on June 16, 2010. One of Paul's guest speakers was "Ron Johnson", GOP US Senate Candidate. The meeting was lively and very interesting, with several business and political guests.
