Our goal at University Podiatry Associates is to be the kind of podiatrists we'd like to go to if we had a foot problem ourselves. University Podiatry has been treating the feet of Middleton and Madison since 1981. Our staff is dedicated to getting you to walk comfortably—with skill, experience and compassion.
Problems We Treat
We provide treatment for many different kinds of foot problems and utilize many types of treatment modalities including orthotics, physical therapy, foot tapings, medication and surgery. As much as possible, we try to exhaust conservative means of treatment first before resorting to surgical intervention. Some of the conditions we treat include:

Our clinic in the University Hospital transplant dept. treating immuno- suppressed diabetic transplant recipients has provided us the experience to treat some of the most complex diabetic foot problems including severe bone infections and Charcot fractures. Diabetic shoes are also provided through our office. Diabetic shoes with a deep toebox and soft, molded insoles are available through our office. These protective shoes are a covered service by many insurance carriers for qualified diabetics.

University Podiatry Associate doctors operate at the UW Hospital and One S. Park St. surgery centers. These up-to-date facilities provide outstanding nursing care services and warm, comfortable and caring facilities. The vast majority of foot surgery can be performed on an outpatient basis using local anesthesia and IV sedation.

State of the art techniques are used. Many orthotics can be made using a gait analysis scanner. This provides a computerized gait analysis from which orthotics are made utilizing mathematical algorithms. Other devices are made from a traditional non-weightbearing plaster cast while some may be made from a foam impression.
