The St. Croix Valley Community Foundation has changed its name to the St. Croix Valley Foundation!
The Foundation is based on partnerships: We partner with our donors, our grantees, and with the communities and their affiliated foundations throughout the St. Croix region. Because the work of the Foundation is carried out locally through our community affiliates, the Board of the Foundation believes that the word community belongs most appropriately in the names of the local affiliates, the Hudson Community Fund, the River Falls Community Fund, the Amery Community Foundation, the Chisago Lakes Area Community Foundation, and our new affiliate, the Lower St. Croix Valley Community Foundation.
The St. Croix Valley Foundation is a community of communities, and will still serve all the communities of the region, whether there exists a local affiliate or not. Our work remains the same, only now our name is a bit shorter and a lot easier to say!
The mission of the St. Croix Valley Foundation is to advance the quality of life in the St. Croix Valley of Wisconsin and Minnesota.
The Foundation aims to accomplish this mission by:
Encouraging long-term charitable giving in the region.
Making purposeful grants to the non-profit organizations that serve the Valley.
Working creatively as both a servant and leader on behalf of the community of communities that defines the region.
Calling All Artists! Can you imagine a creative space for artists and arts organizations in the St. Croix Valley? If yes, then participate in a survey to help determine the type of multi-use cultural space that might be developed in the Greater Stillwater-Lake Elmo area!
