Tinus's Dream Weaver & Opus Black Mikasa. Ellie with her two Moriesian Stallions
Twin Artesian Stables is located in Suamico WI, near Green Bay. Ellie Neerdaels has been handling horses since the 6th grade when her parents allowed her to purchase her first pony, Black Beauty. Having her own stables someday was a lifetime goal. The stable name, Twin Artesian Stables was received from the two artesian fed ponds next to the log home. The ponds are used for fishing and swimming, but mostly the ponds are used to train and swim the horses. The barn was built by the Amish, "Ivan & Company". It is true the Amish are very hard working energetic people. When they walked from the barn to the house, they even walked with a purpose! The 40*60 barn went up fast in the bitter cold of winter after Christmas in 1994. The inside of the barn and first paddock was finished in time in May for her first foal, Opus Black Mikasa. He was her custom-bred horse in this new breed.
Her original intention was just a one-horse dream...
Ellie & Tinus's Dreamer Weaver, her junior Stallion.
I had no idea at that time,
how this desire & dream would ultimately direct my life.
I started with 3 Morgan mares breeding to select Friesians to create my Moriesians.
The size of my herd is small - the focus is quality. High standards were needed in the stallions I chose for my mares in creating a versatile performance/family horse with Pizzazz!!!
Quite a few people who have bought my foals are in the show ring making a name for themselves. Many others enjoying their animal on the trail, just wanting a flashy versatile horse.
Twin Artesian Stables has also made a name for itself with the type of training offered. My training specialty is: all our foals are started on the path to be a friend for life with their new owner using what many would call "natural training" methods. The horses that are sold have such a solid foundation the new owner can go right into what ever discipline they desire. Many references available.
Selling my dream home & twelve acres may become a reality, as I have not been able to purchase land next to my home to keep up with the growth of my herd.
But a vision requires priorities
to be defined & sought after ... as a dream once only dreamt - is now lived.
