One Stop Shopping: ProVideo & Film, Inc. is a full service production company. We can assist you at every stage of production, on any size project. The range of our experience covers everything from limited distribution corporate video work to multi-spot Super Bowl campaigns.
Concepting: In the concepting stage of a project we can help you find the copywriters and creatives that will bring your project to life. We are not an advertising agency. Nor do we pretend to be. But, we do have a roster of incredible freelance writers/directors that can build off your preliminary ideas. Or in some cases, start from scratch. Many of our clients have really come to depend on our brainstorming sessions.
Pre-Production: We're the classic over-communicators and that's a good thing! In pre-production we will help you set a workable production timeline based on your deadlines, find the right cast, secure the perfect locations, build sets, shop for props and wardrobe, conduct tech scouts, and hold the necessary meetings to keep everyone informed.
Casting for Talent: Casting is often tricky business. The right talent can make or break a project. To help secure the right people in the right roles, we have access to limitless amounts of union and non-union talent. We can also provide SAG signatory services. Access to celebrity agents? You bet! Don't forget that perfect voice talent. We'll help you there too!
The Shoot: On the shoot day, it's time to watch the creativity come alive. Our attention to detail in the pre-pro process has a direct correlation to success on the shoot days. Much of our new business comes from the buzz that is created during and after our shoots. We want our clients, talent, crew, and vendors to be blown away by the shoot experience and get the word on the street. Results truly speak volumes. Which is why so much of our business comes from existing customer referrals.
Equipment: We have everything you need and more. And if we don't have it in-house, we'll get it ASAP. We have our own - sound stage, HD cameras, lighting packages, crane, dolly, and audio. Beyond this we have excellent relationships with the top vendors around the country to supply us with the latest technology and tools to get your job done in the best way possible.
Post Production: It makes our customers feel secure when they realize that our edit staff has over 50 years of combined experience. This superstar team knows how to make your project take flight. A combination of Avid and Final Cut systems also allows us to work seamlessly with other edit houses in different regions when necessary. Internally, we can handle high-end graphic requests and 3-D animations.
Sound Design/Music: Audio is icing on the cake. From custom music to music libraries, we can handle all of it for you. With access to leading composers in Nashville, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Madison we can help you come up with something unique and memorable for your project. The same goes for voice talent. Let us find and bring in the VO that will have you saying "WOW!"
Delivery: We know that the job isn't done until you have the deliverables in your hand. We take care of all of that in-house as well. We are capable of delivering television spots in HD or SD. We are also Madison's only authorized DG/Fast channel provider for delivering broadcast ready spots electronically. We can author DVD's and Blue Ray discs as well as provide small-scale DVD duplication. We can also handle specialized formats for video walls. Electronic files (wmv, mov, mpeg) of all final edits can be created and delivered for your files.

In a word. EVERYWHERE. Our primary office, where we house our production equipment and post facilities, is in Madison, WI. We also have a satellite office in Los Angeles, where we prep our LA-based shoots. We have a combined experience that includes shoots in virtually every state in the U.S. Internationally, our experience includes Canada, the Caribbean, Hong Kong, Italy, Mexico, Prague, and the United Kingdom. Over 80% of the work we do happens on the road. We're ready to travel for your project - no matter where it takes us!

Our Staff>
Freelance Crew - Along with our full-time staff, ProVideo has a host of freelance crewmembers and still photographers from around the country that we utilize on a regular basis. We work with these people everyday. To be on our freelance crew you have to be one of the best in the business. Each one is a trusted extension of ProVideo. We also have a pool of directors to choose from from every corner of the country. These directors assist us with everything from concepting, pre-production, on-set direction, and post production supervision. Further, we have experience working with feature film cinematographers on commercial productions as well as the crews that accompany a professional of this level.

Jim Stiener - As a University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse graduate, Jim joined ProVideo in 1989 as a Junior Accountant Executive. After almost 20 years, over a thousand projects and countless awards, Jim took over the reins of one of that largest and most successful video and film production companies in the Midwest.

Jonas Dolkart - As a University of Southern California graduate, Jonas started his career as an accountant at Arthur Andersen. After two years he decided to take those skills and enter the challenging field of commercial production. Over the past 12 years, Jonas has climbed the production ladder to Line Producer. In 2005, Jonas and Jim Stiener co-produced a job and realized their strengths complemented each other perfectly. From there, it was only a matter of time until they joined forces on a full-time basis.

Tom Kermgard - With over 20 years of marketing experience and a keen eye for details, its easy to see why Tom's projects are always right on target. A Radio/TV/Film major from Northern Illinois University, he's seen it all and done it all in the crazy world of video and film production. Having been with ProVideo for over ten years, Tom brings an award-winning resume and an insider's knowledge to every project that moves through the shop.

Matt Cowden - Matt is a Producer with some serious production experience. Prior to moving into the role of Executive Producer, Matt served as Senior Editor at ProVideo. So when Matt is producing a job, hes thinking like an editor and that pays big dividends in the end result. Matt has been with ProVideo for over 10 years and is one of the most respected members of the production community.

Jill Patrick - After graduating from UW-Madison with a marketing and geography major, Jill moved west and eventually became active in the radio and public television community in the Denver area. After moving back to the Midwest in 2007, Jills first position at ProVideo was Production Manager serving as the link between the production team, creative team, and clients. Recently, Jill moved into the Producer role, spearheading ProVideo Express. ProVideo Express specializes in quick-turn videos designed for use on the Web. Jill is your go-to person for fast, straightforward, and effective video to keep you clients informed, entertained, and engaged.

John Vrany - As ProVideos engineer, John handles all of our technical needs. A graduate from UW-Platteville, John has worked in the video industry for over 25 years, with 11 of those years at a local TV station. John has many talents including still photography, cooking, and roller coaster riding (John has ridden over 100 roller coasters)! But, dont let Johns escapades distract you; he is a superb engineer coming up with genius ideas for ProVideos many hi-tech needs and all with a wry sense of humor.

Sharon Doyle - Sharon is the voice of ProVideo! She not only directs all visitors but also routes all incoming calls. She will greet you with a smile, whether in person or on the phone. Always assisting with other departments, Sharon will lend a hand anytime. It is said that Sharon has a sixth sense when it comes to running out of coffee.

Cori Annen - Cori has worked in the bookkeeping field for nearly 20 years. When her experience as a detail oriented number lover became more apparent, her passion allowed her to then expand her comfort zone and join the small business world as a professional, successful, woman in business.

Scott Yarbrough - Scott is a grizzled veteran of the production wars. And that is a true compliment. He brings over 25 years of editing experience to the table. He can crank out the work and stand ready for more. As steady as they come, Scott has legions of loyal fans that line up to get on his schedule. Which is why his edit suite seems to be booked 24/7/365.

Chris Dabner - Ah, the Swedish cowboy. Chris is a young hotshot with 10 years of editing experience. He is a second-generation editor, so he knows the ins and outs of this business like the back of his hand. Chris brings an X-Games feel to everything he does. Hard-working, hard-charging, risk-taking - thats Chris in a nutshell. And if youre lucky enough to edit with Chris, be ready to talk about snowboarding one of his many passions.

Daniel Kinney - Daniel has been editing video since he was 14. For him video has never been a job, its been a passion. He followed this passion to ProVideo in 2008 and has been continuing to wow clients, directors and producers ever since. Daniel has won multiple national awards for both editing and directing and brings with him a wide array of knowledge in not only editing, but graphics, DVD programming, web design, and encoding. Whether the project is large or small, Daniel will make sure that every frame is just the way it should be.

Jeff Maiers - Jeff graduated from Iowa State University with a double degree in Graphic Design and Advertising. Since then his professional realm has expanded into video editing and animation. Jeff fuses his design background and knowledge of advertising into his edits to communicate your message in the best way possible. A recent addition to the ProVideo team, Jeff follows through with every project to the last detail.

Jerry Emmerich - What can you say about the founder of ProVideo? Jerry is truly one of the top shooters in the Midwest. An HD pioneer, he made sure that ProVideo was leading the HD movement in Madison years ago. A real artist with a video camera, Jerry makes any scene look good. Given 30 seconds to think, Jerry comes up with a solution to any production problem. Its been said that Jerry can light an entire scene with a candle and a piece of tinfoil and make it look spectacular.

Michael Palzkill - Mike enthusiastically joined ProVideo full-time in 2009 as a Videographer and Studio Manager after interning the prior two summers. A 2009 graduate of Ohios Denison University with a bachelors degree in Cinema, he brings both the skills and desire necessary for every project. With experience shooting HD and 16mm film, a hardworking and energetic attitude, and an unrelenting desire to learn and grow as a filmmaker, Mike is always ready to take on new challenges. In addition, he loves movies and cheese, and is told he resembles Clay Matthews of the Green Bay Packers.
