The first incarnation of 44 Studio 44 was founded by Brenda Spaude in De Pere in 1994. After devoting more than a decade to the world of commercial and personal photography, Brenda saw a need for a professional studio devoted to clients with headquarters in the rapidly expanding northeastern Wisconsin market. "Business really didn't look to our area for persuasive, energetic photography for the consumer market. They felt the need to go to Chicago or Minneapolis instead. My main focus in the early years was breaking down those 'small town stereotypes,'" says Brenda.
The studio quickly earned a reputation for producing award winning work and, most importantly, solid results for clients in the state and nation wide. By 1998, Studio 44 boasted an impressive and ever-growing client list, prompting Brenda to design and build a spacious 10,000 sq. ft. studio to better accommodate photographic challenges.
In 1999, Cindy Greaves, a commercial photo stylist with an especially intriguing and highly successful approach to food styling, joined Brenda as co-owner of the studio. Her addition was just the spark needed to keep the fresh ideas flowing.
Producer and photographer Shaun Pitts joined the team in 2010, expanding 44's services to include internet, television, and motion picture.
