Morning Star Psychotherapy Associates is a collaboration among several experienced counseling professionals, each with a slightly different focus. Drs. Norman and Bromley, the founders, have both been in practice since 1983. Diane Schulze and Phil Williamson (both mental health counselors who work with children and adults) joined our practice in 2009. We recently welcomed Teresa Terrill, psychiatric nurse practitioner, who joined our practice in January 2010.
We strive to help people who are hurting, by providing a respectful and responsive counseling relationship where clients' unique qualities and strengths are appreciated and fostered. We assist others to find meaning, health, and peace. We respect clients' personal beliefs and questions. Though we view spirituality as an important and valuable source of strength and wholeness, spirituality need not be a focus of counseling.
Dr. Don Norman works to help individuals, couples, and families address the barriers that block meaningful relationships; he also is a provider of neurofeedback, addressing issues of concentration and focus, particularly important for school and work performance enhancement. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Marriage and Family Therapist. Dr. Norman is a faculty member in the Counselor Education program at UW-Whitewater.
Dr. Pat Bromley is a licensed psychologist who assists clients with relationship, personal growth, and mood issues. She has a special interest in bipolar disorder and in health-related problems and also does psychological testing. She is a professor of psychology at UW-Platteville (her duties involve distance education). This is why the resume lists her UWP office address.
Phil Williamson and Diane Schulze are both experienced clinicians who bring a variety of areas of expertise to our practice.
Teresa Terrill, provides both psychotherapy and medicine management.
