We are so glad you are here! We sold our original building in May 2007, and are meeting at the Mukwonago United Church of Christ. In January 2008, we bought a plot of land (see the News & Events page) where we will build a new 'green' sanctuary, in which our community can grow. Currently, our members have a wonderful design created for our new church and are working with general contractors on the construction information.
These are amazing, exciting times for us, harking back to the mid 19th century pioneer days of thrilling uncertainty.
Come, be thrilled, and grow with us!
Please refer to the "Our Services" section below or the "News and Events" tab for time and place of worship.
United U & U Society of Mukwonago
The United Unitarian & Universalist Society of Mukwonago is affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Association of North America (see the link to Our National Organization at top left).
As a congregation:

Please join us on Sunday for services at noon. Read sample sermons here: www.uumuk.org/sermons.php Children have religious education classes at the same time. Child care is available for nursery and preschoolers.
We presently rent space from the Mukwonago United Church of Christ, a group gracious enough to let us use their beautiful facility on Hwy NN in Mukwonago, a mere 1000 feet west of the high school at S93 W30740 County Road NN, until we complete construction of a new church. Please refer to the Mapquest link at left for directions.
And please check the "Newcomers" page (uumuk.org/newcomers.php)for additional information you may find helpful.

Maybe you're uncomfortable with the idea of God, or at least someone else's idea of God. Maybe you yearn for a loving, spiritual community where you can be inspired and encouraged as you search for your own truth and meaning.
This is a church, you ask? Welcome to Unitarian Universalism!
To learn more about what Unitarian Universalists (UU) believe, look to the article link to the top left, in the blue column, titled "What Do Unitarian Universalists Believe?". And if you still have questions, then be sure to visit us Sunday- your questions are always welcome and encouraged! You've come to the right place!
We are a Welcoming Congregation!

UUA Welcoming Congregation Recognition
Our church recently completed the requirements set forth by the UUA to become officially recognized as a Welcoming Congregation. This program recognizes churches that become more inclusive towards bisexual, gay, lesbian, and/or transgender people. Although our church has always welcomed BGLT people prior to starting the program, it is now 'official'!
We are a congregation for children, for youth, and for adults of all ages.
We are intentionally inclusive;
We embrace and appreciate people of every age,
Of every race, culture, gender, sexual orientation, ability, and economic circumstance.
We welcome people from all religious backgrounds and beliefs
And we support you in your seeking and growing.

The Religious Services Committee (RSC) and many members of our congregation have been working to create a spiritual atmosphere when we gather for worship on Sunday mornings. Jan Weigle's beautiful chalice banner presents a visual reminder of the symbol of our own UU tradition as well as many other spiritual symbols. Greeters welcome members, friends and guests. The service facilitator works to ready the sanctuary for worship. We've often been reminded that the word "worship" evolved from Anglo-Saxon words for "to shape worth." When we enter the sanctuary that so many have worked to make welcoming for us, we're entering the community of people coming together to help shape, consider, discuss and question our most profound values and beliefs. And we know we'll laugh and cry as we do so. As we greet each other and talk about our families and jobs and environmental concerns and new convertibles, we can all keep in mind why we choose to gather together and how we can help each other with the fourth principle, the free and responsible search for truth and meaning. That mindset, or spirit, can in itself help create an atmosphere conducive to worship. Try this the next time you're on your way to UU Mukwonago for Sunday service: Think about what you value about our time together. Think about why you attend Sunday service. Think about what Unitarian Universalism means to you. Think about what UU Mukwonago means to you. Think about what the people you'll see here mean to you. Then Enter, Rejoice and Come In! as we worship and create spiritual space together.

We are now meeting at the Mukwonago United Church of Christ, at S93 W30740 Hwy NN, Mukwonago, WI.
Mail goes to our offices at 201 Main St, Mukwonago, WI 53149.
