Wolf River Resorts consists of five family businesses working together to accommodate fishermen from near and far. We are located in the midst of five fishing lakes which are all adjoined by the famous Wolf and Fox Rivers. This unique water chain forms one of the nations largest natural fish hatcheries and provides enjoyable year 'round fishing.
Spring walleyes runs, during March and April, signal the beginning of the fishing season. May white bass runs offer excellent family fishing. Black bass, northern pike, pan fish, catfish and occasionally musky and sturgeon provide enjoyable summer fishing. Returning walleye and white bass heat up the fall fishing and offer good ice fishing as well.
All three resorts are situated on the southeast shore of Lake Winneconne where it narrows into the placid Wolf River in the Village of Winneconne Linens and towels are furnished at all three resorts. Cooking units come complete with dishes, glasses, silverware, and limited pots/pans. Weber grills are available for outdoor cooking. We encourage our guests to bring sharp kitchen knives, some pots/pans, and extra towels if space allows.
Tons To Do!
Winneconne is a community of 2,401 of the friendliest people in Wisconsin and no stoplights, offering both seclusion and modern conveniences. Within walking distance are three parks, a man-made swimming beach, churches, restaurants, craft and gifts shops, a grocery store, gas stations, beauty salons, etc. The local pubs are overflowing with the latest fishing news and stories about "the one that got away!"
Nearby Oshkosh offers movie theaters, golf courses, restaurants, a museum, art center and arboretum, aircraft museum, animal petting zoo, water park, a wide variety of pleasant shopping, including an outlet mall!
Yearly fishing tournaments attract fishermen throughout the United states. Contestants will attest to the quality of the lakes and river systems and excellent fishing.
