There are three key components of any boat that need to be protected from the elements: the sails, the hull, and the foils. Whether at mooring, in the back yard, or on the road, your boat is exposed to harsh elements that wear away unprotected surfaces. Unprotected boats take a beating from pebbles and flying debris during travel. At the mooring, UV rays, salt spray, wind, and even the acidity in rain water combine to deteriorate sails and the hull itself. While wintering in the back yard, boats suffer the effects of ice and snow.
