Fluegge Optical Inc. is an independently owned and operated wholesale optical lab in Waterford, the Metro-Milwaukee area of Southeastern Wisconsin. Our location has no hindrance in producing overnight delivery via courier or mail services.
The first priority of all those working at Fluegge Optical, (which by the way includes six people who last names are Fluegge), is "customer service".
We are well aware of the demands, requirements and desires of today's consumers and hold steadfast in being able to deliver to them, through you, the highest quality product right and on time.
Our company goal is to show you that customer service is not a department of our business, it is the way we do things. As our customer, you will find that our knowledgeable and experienced staff is available to help you with the "how to" and "why" of proper eyewear selection and fabrication. Also, we continually re-invest in our business by purchasing the newest technology in equipment, lens types, optical procedures, while including online Rx ordering.
Fluegge Optical is recognized nationally due to our extensive lineage in the Optical Industry (for more information please see "Company History"). It is important to note that our lab is independently owned, not foreign or lens manufacturer owned. Our ownership status assures you that all lens selections are available to you, not steering you into our own brand name as is often found through the Hoya, Essilor and Sola owned labs. We are not a third party or contract lab, guaranteeing you no compromises in quality for price.
The phones are personally answered at our location six days a week. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST M-F and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CST- Sat, which either allows you to get a head start on your day, or a chance to clean up after you close.
We are continually regarded as the lab that is capable of getting things done that others either classify as difficult, impossible or in many cases they just don't manufacture lenses of "that" material. Our lab is fully capable of producing any plastic, poly, high index and YES, glass lenses, without short sighting or forgetting the virtues, optics, special seg placements and unique filtration capabilities that only glass has. No need to have a "special lab", as these RX's are routinely done on a daily basis at our location.
WRAP FRAMES, boy is this a sore subject ! Fluegge Optical's lab will show you that what others say can't be done, CAN BE DONE and look as cosmetically appealing as piano lenses look in those frames. We are continually shocked at what poor quality reproductions are being manufactured by supposed "high quality" labs on these highly sought after, fashion frames. Please make yourself a believer and send us one of these jobs. Although we don't like to admit it, we have some customers that just send us only those to do. We realize that we can't win them all, but at least those people know the right lab for the job, because we provide a great level of attention to detail in fit, function and what only your patient can judge, the cosmetic appeal.
Fluegge Optical has not and never will be playing in the lowest price arena.
