The Wisconsin Dental Association’s Back-to-Basics public awareness message is going “Inside the Huddle” – a statewide, weekly television show featuring Green Bay Packers Donald Driver, JerMichael Finley, James Jones and Clay Matthews.
Visit the WDA Facebook page and "like" us for a chance to win one of two sets of four VIP passes to a 5:30 p.m. taping of the Nov. 29 (host Clay Matthews) or Dec. 27 (host James Jones) show and meet that week's player-host. Includes pictures and autographs. "Inside the Huddle" is broadcast from Tom, Dick and Harry's in Green Bay near Lambeau Field.

Beware of sugary candy and sweets
Halloween is a kid’s dream come true and a dentist’s worst nightmare. The overload of sugary candy and treats screams tooth decay.
Many dentists put their own spin on goodies for trick-or-treaters by offering candy buy-back programs or handing out toothbrushes in lieu of sugary treats.
The bacteria in dental plaque use sugar to form acids that eat away at protective tooth enamel, which leads to cavities and decay. Parents and guardians also can help promote the oral health message by teaching kids to keep their teeth and gums healthy with daily brushing and flossing. And make sure Halloween stays a special treat by keeping excessive candy eating from turning into a year-round habit.

WDA recognizes 11 for contributions to dentistry, public oral health
WEST ALLIS, WIS., Nov. 10, 2010 Appleton resident and periodontist Dr. S. Timothy Rose is the 2010 Wisconsin Dental Association Lifetime Achievement Award recipient in recognition of his significant contributions of time, energy and expertise to organized dentistry throughout his career.
