Our parish vision statement challenges us to commit to stewardship as a way of life, offering our gifts of time, talent and treasure in the service of God and others. Stewardship acknowledges our complete and total dependence on God for all we have and all that we are. In their pastoral letter on Stewardship, our Catholic Bishops remind us that “Beginning in conversion, a change of mind and heart, this commitment is expressed, not in a single action, nor even in a number of actions over a period of time, but in an entire way of life. It means committing one’s very self to the Lord.” It means that we make God the top priority in life — seeking to “Live Jesus!”
The attitude of stewardship today is to be faithful in our commitment to God, placing God at the center of all that we are. Our everyday actions give witness to the values we hold and treasure in our hearts. Remember every moment of our lives that we have been blessed indeed by our God.
