Built in 1877 by Thomas Smith, a prominent local businessman and multi-faceted mover and shaker, this lovingly restored home reflects the grandeur of the late 19th century while incorporating all the modern comforts of the early 21st.
Sturgeon Bay is the perfect spot from which to base your Door County visit and the Colonial Gardens Bed & Breakfast is a stroll away from some of the best of the best in town.

The historic downtown district is just steps from our front door and offers terrific shopping and dining experiences. We have four museums in town and four lovely waterfront parks. Potawatomi State Park is just a short five mile drive or bike ride away.

Our working waterfront boasts miles of walkways. Sleek mega-yachts, built right here in town, are contrasted by the muscular lake ore carriers some as long as 1,000 feet. Sport fishing boats, sailboats, pontoons, excursion vessels, kayaks and canoes all ply the waters of Sturgeon Bay.

After a full day exploring town or the whole Door peninsula, return to relax and unwind with a nap or a soak in your private double whirlpool tub. Plan tomorrows fun and reconnect with your companion.
