Debit Card Phishing Scam

Recently, some of Community Bank & Trusts customers have received phone calls requesting information on their debit cards.
From time to time, you may receive a call from someone asking for your debit card account number or PIN (Personal ID Number). DO NOT give out this information. Community Bank & Trust and its affiliates (STAR) will NEVER ask for your account number or PIN.

FDICs Transaction Account Guarantee Program

Community Bank & Trust is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all non-interest bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDICs general deposit insurance rules. Negotiable Order of Withdrawal (NOW) accounts with interest rates of 0.50%* or less are included in the program.
*Maximum interest rate limit will be lowered from 0.50% to 0.25% effective July 1, 2010
