About the Sheboygan Dog Training Club

The Sheboygan Dog Training Club has been providing Sheboygan area dog owners with quality companion and obedience dog classes since 1952. Our club is a "not-for-profit" organization run by dedicated volunteers who will help you train your dog to become a well mannered part of your family.
We offer Puppy Training Classes as well as a full spectrum of Obedience and Agility classes for the beginner as well as advanced handler. See our training pages for more information on any of these classes
Training is available year round in our indoor and outdoor training facilities on our nine acre grounds located just north of Sheboygan. We have two completely fenced outdoor training areas as well as two indoor training facilities. The first is a 40' by 60' heated facility which provides us with year round training ability. The second is a 60' by 120' facility that allows us to train most of the year while remaining out of the elements. This building is not yet heated, so it is not used much in winter. Both buildings have rubber flooring to provide comfort for the dogs and well as handlers. This floor also provides the dogs cushion during jumping exercises to minimize the chances of injury.
Our experienced, knowledgeable dog trainers teach students to use humane and effective positive reinforcement training methods. Class size is kept small to provide more individualized attention. Classes are held on the same night of the week with the same instructors and assistants.
SDTC offers low cost tuition and discounts for continuing education.

Class registration is held on the 2nd and Last Tuesday of each month from 6:15 to 7:00pm at the club grounds.
Registration MUST be done in person.

Raising a puppy is a huge responsibility. Not just the costs of ownership, but also the responsiblity of proper socialization and training. Puppies can be very troublesome if the owner is not adequately prepared.

Here at The Sheboygan Dog Training Club, we will teach you how to control and hopefully eliminate behavioral problems before your dog reaches adulthood. We will begin to socialize the puppies and start basic obedience training.

The Sheboygan Dog Training Club offer classes year round for the beginner as well as the novice handler. We run beginners, pre-novice, and novice classes year round.

Occasionally there are advanced classes available, such as ring ready and open.

The obedience instructors at the Sheboygan Dog Training Club will assist you in training your dog to be the best family member possible.

Dog agility is a sport in which a handler is given a set amount of time in which to direct a dog off-leash through an obstacle course.

The Sheboygan Dog Training Club offer Agility classes for the beginner as well as the advanced handler.

We have the ability to train indoors as well as outdoors.

Rally is a sport in which the dog and handler complete a course that has been designed by the rally judge. The judge tells the handler to begin, and the dog and handler proceed at their own pace through a course of designated stations. Each of these stations has a sign providing instructions regarding the next skill that is to be performed.
