If you have questions about our church, please contact us. We would be glad to explain more about Holmen Baptist Church, "Where the Bible is alive!"
The purpose of Holmen Baptist Church is to glorify God (Matt. 5:16; Eph. 1:6, 12, 14; I Pet. 2:9, 12). This purpose is made possible by and achieved through the personal study and the public ministry of the word of God.
The goal of our ministry is to produce mature believers in Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:19-20; Col. 1:28-29; Eph. 4:11-16). The means leading toward this goal include edification, worship, evangelism, baptism, and church membership. This process can be described as reproducing disciples. A disciple is one who develops Christ-likeness by living life according to the Biblical pattern. This pattern involves a progressive commitment to Jesus Christ (Lk. 9:23; Matt. 22:37; Eph. 4:13, 15; Phil. 2:5; col. 3:10-11, 17, 23-24); a progressive commitment to the family (Eph. 5:22-6:4; Col. 3:18-21; I Tim. 3:4-5; I Tim. 5:8); a progressive commitment to the body of Christ (Rom. 12:3-8; I Cor. 12:7-31; Eph. 4:11-16; I Pet. 4:8-10); and a progressive commitment to the spread of the Gospel (Acts 1:8; Rom. 10:14-15; II Cor. 5:18-20; Phil. 2:15-16; I Cor. 9:19-23).
