Lamb of God Lutheran Church is a congregation of Christ's holy people, here to proclaim our Lord's saving Word and administer His Sacraments. We rejoice in the opportunities that our gracious God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, has given us to speak His Gospel in and around Kenosha County. At the center of the church's life is the worship of Christ Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. By His resurrection from the dead we are given life in His Name. We invite you to share with us in these gifts and so to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Savior, Jesus Christ. God has called us out of the darkness of sin and death to walk in His marvelous light.
Edwin Heikkinen, a member of Lamb of God, died Wednesday, November 17, and now rests in his heavenly Father's arms. The funeral service for Ed will be at Lamb of God on Saturday, November 20, at 12:00 noon. Visitation at the church will begin at 10:00 a.m. Blessed are those who die in the Lord.
This coming Sunday, November 21, marks the end of the church year. The Last Sunday of the church year focuses on the triumphant return of Christ Jesus at the Day of Judgment. The trials and misfortunes we suffer today remind us that we are sinful, and that Christ died to save us from our sins. These are troubling, powerful messages, and yet absolutely reassuring!
