Key Verse "...preparing God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." Ephesians 4:12-13
Who We Are The Calvary Memorial Church had its beginning in the early part of the 1900's in a small chapel on Lindermann Avenue. In the Fall of 1915 a series of evangelistic meetings led to the formation of the congregation, then known as the Gospel Tabernacle.
From the outset, the church has been an independent, non-denominational church. We have consistently emphasized the sufficiency of the Bible, the Word of God; the need for believers in Jesus Christ to grow in their faith; the joy of fellowship and worship for Christian believers; and the evangelism of the lost.
We stand, without apology, for the defense of the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ as proclaimed in the Word of God. Our intentions are summarized in the following statements:
A local body of Christ, established on the authority of God's Word,
in fellowship with all who love the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ; crucified, over everything, God, blessed forever.
The Salvation of the lost and the discipleship of believers.
