Rev. Dr. Tony Larsen was invited to be a "Minister-in-Residence" at Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago for the fall semester 2010. He will be there for 3 1/2 months, September through December and will return in time for the annual "service of lessons and carols."
While he is at Meadville Lombard, Tony will be a ministerial "role model" to students preparing for the UU ministry. He will also be taking some courses in Biblical Hebrew and Greek.
During these months, the congregants of OBUUC will experience the leadership of our Worship Associates, student minister Jennifer Thomson, and other guest speakers.
We wish for Tony the best sabbatical experience and will welcome him to share many new things with us upon his return.
The Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church is affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Association of North America and is an ethical and liberal religious community dedicated to promoting the ongoing search for truth and to affirming the inherent worth of the individual.
We welcome all who find our emphasis on personal religious integrity and commitment meaningful.
