From the inviting façade outside to the friendly atmosphere inside—the Hack family and Lorelei Inn have been welcoming patrons to this German-style restaurant and bar for more than 20 years. The Lorelei Inn is a neighborhood favorite for sure. But, it's also a regional standout, with its German-American specialty menu and depth of German and foreign beer brands on tap. So, it is not unusual to find visitors from the Fox Valley and even Milwaukee and Chicago visitors coming back whenever they are in the area.
At the heart of the Lorelei Inn is the atmosphere fostered by owners Dave Hack, Lynne Stah & Meagan Colombo. It continues a tradition of German and American menu specialties, German beer and good times begun by their parents Leonard and Marilyn Hack in 1983.
The Lorelei has a history of welcoming people of varied interests. The saying, "Where old and new friends meet" is especially true at the Lorelei Inn. As an article in the Chicago Tribune stated about one night at the Lorelei, "About 10 Bears fans dot the place for the Packers game amid a meeting of the Lorelei Packers Quarterback Club." Len Hack was a Bears fan, originally from Chicago, and his children are Packers fans—and there has been plenty of room for all fans at the Lorelei.
