Our practice is devoted exclusively to Divorce and Family Law matters. As attorneys, we are committed to protecting and vigorously asserting the rights of our clients.
However, we also recognize that personal family issues can often be emotionally challenging for everyone involved, including children. Richard and Catherine Strong, husband and wife, have been part of the Green Bay legal community for many years. Both Rich and Cathy graduated from Northwestern University with Bachelors Degrees; got married, and then attended Creighton University where they each received their law degrees, Juris Doctor.
They opened the firm of Strong & Strong Attorneys in January of 1978 and have been practicing law in their own firm ever since. Along with raising their children in Green Bay, they have been involved in leadership roles in many community organizations, such as President of the Thursday Breakfast Optimist
Club (Rich) and President of Family Service
Association (Cathy), to name a few.
In recent years, the decision was made to focus exclusively on the area of Family Law, believing that clients benefit most from a law firm where the lawyers concentrate all their efforts on a specific area of practice. Family Law issues are often accompanied by significant stress and turmoil. Realizing this, an effort has been made to provide a friendly and comfortable atmosphere, right down to the cozy fireplace in the foyer. Most of our clients have been referred here, word of mouth, by past clients. That trust is greatly appreciated and valued. Based on years of experience, reputation, and their unique situation, Rich and Cathy Strong are committed to providing excellent legal services for their clients in a professional, yet helpful and supportive manner.
Outside of the office, Rich is an avid swimmer, golfer, and cross-country skier. This year he completed his tenth American Birkebeiner ski race in Cable, Wisconsin. Cathy prefers to cheer him on from the sidelines! In summer, both Rich and Cathy enjoy boating, as well as get-togethers with family and friends.

Janice Swiekatowski has been assisting clients at Strong & Strong since 1999. She has a Paralegal degree from NWTC, and worked for a law firm in Shawano before coming to our office. Janice and her husband had a daughter born October 1, 2008. This is their first child, and most of her time outside of work is now spent enjoying and watching Taylor grow and master new things.

Michelle Helgeson began working with Strong & Strong in 2008. Prior to that, she was a legal assistant for several years with law firms in Green Bay and Luxemburg. In addition to Paralegal and Accounting coursework, Michelle has a degree from NWTC as a Micro Computer Specialist. Michelle became a Grandma in July of 2008 and she enjoys spending time with her new grandson. Michelle also enjoys taking vacations with her family to tropical climates.
